W.O.W

Sobrang tagal ko na palang wala dito! more than a month na! Pero good thing may bumibisita pa rin kahit papano...

So what made me busy? Syempre, unang-una, school. ANG HIRAP MAGING SENIOR. The pressure you get from the teachers... lalo na kung may after-school activities pa. At may coordinator na naghahabol sayo para lang sa overdued articles for the school paper. At kabi-kabilang admission exams to different schools. hay.

Secondly, School pa rin. Submission of requirements na, and next week, it's our final exams in high school. yey. Sa Wakas.

Third, as for my wish on my previous post, I passed both USTET and PLMAT! I passed Medical Technology as my first choice, but I failed in Advertising Arts. Silly. I guess I really am not the third generation of our family's representative at UST's Faculty of Arts and Letters. Buti na lang. I really don't like it. I just don't know what has gone into my mind when I decided to have that as my second choice. I made it to PLM, too. I didn't expect that. That was really a spoiled surprise, thanks to my cousin, Mariel. Now the big question is, alin sa dalawa? What do you think?

To have you guys the idea about the schools, here are some facts courtesy of Wikipedia.
PLM

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila in English, commonly abbreviated as PLM, or simply Pamantasan), is the largest city government-funded, tuition-free,university in the Philippines. It also holds the distinction of being the first Philippine institution of higher learning to have its official name in Filipino.

The Philippines' Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) has considered PLM as a model for public institutions across the Philippines. Furthermore, it has cited several PLM programs and departments as Centers of Excellence. A study using cumulative data from 1999 to 2003 showed that during the said period PLM was among the top five schools in the Philippines in terms of board exam passing rate. In the same study, it was one among three public universities in the top ten category.

PLM criticizes the Times Higher Education Supplement opinion surveys and the now-defunct Asiaweek rankings for what PLM considers as elitist views of higher education and criteria that do not apply to the unique landscape of each participating universities. PLM was not among the schools that were selected for ranking or participation by either survey.

PresidentGloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently cited PLM for having a "culture of excellence," and for its accomplishments in various fields.

UST

The Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, The Catholic University of the Philippines (or simply the "University of Santo Tomas", "UST" or affectionately, "UstĂȘ"), is a private Roman Catholic university run by theOrder of Preachers in Manila. One of the world's largest Catholic universities in terms of population, it was founded on April 28, 1611 by the Spanish Reverend Miguel de Benavides. It has the oldest extantuniversity charter in the Philippines. It is the oldest and the largest university in the city of Manila.

The University is composed of several autonomous faculties, colleges, schools and institutes, each conferring undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and the basic education units. Several degrees have been accredited by the Commission on Higher Education as Centers of Development and Centers of Excellence.
